com.airwatch.lockdown.launcher blocked by the – Workspace One UEM (AirWatch)

You might encounter this issue on Android device with Workspace One UEM (AirWatch) secure Launcher.

When you enroll your android device-Android for work with a secure launcher profile and install the launcher it says “com.airwatch.lockdown.launcher blocked by the admin IT”

To resolve this issue just whitelisted the secure launcher app ID by adding it to the hidden apps in the secure launcher profile.

Here are the steps:

  • Go to the WSO UEM console > Devices > Profile > select the Launcher profile
  • Under Apps > Select Internal > Select the “com.airwatch.lockdown.launcher”
  • Add com.airwatch.lockdown.launcher to Hidden Apps
  • Click on Save and publish
